A 60-BORE PERCUSSION BELT-SIZE WEBLEY LONGSPUR REVOLVER, no visible serial number,
third model circa 1865, with octagonal 4 7/8in. barrel, banded muzzle, the top-flat signed 'VIESEY & SON', border and scroll engraved open frame with wingnut barrel mount, the side plate signed 'WEBLEY'S PATENT', five-shot cylinder rotating to the right, single action mechanism with exposed hammer sides, permanently attached Kerr-style rammer mounted to left side of barrel, the full-length back-strap engraved 'BY HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL LETTERS PATENT', chequered walnut grips (right cracked and repaired with small losses to leading edge) and engraved butt-cap with central eyelet for lanyard, small oval trigger guard, lightly cleaned of finish with shallow frosting
