A PRE-WAR CASED 54 & 140-BORE PNEUMATIC AIR CANE, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, English circa 1880, with 19 1/4in. tapering smoothbore barrel section with detachable rifled insert, nosecap with captive rammer, straight air-reservoir with horn bun pommel, refinished in black enamel and in a later fitted case with mould, key, stirrup pump and sundries, the case lid with reproduction 'Townsend' label
