LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, barrels numbered 9824, action incorporating Gibbs & Pitt patent lever-cocking hammerless action, patent no. 284 of 1873, use number 2713, removable striker discs, automatic safety with brass-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking indicators, dipped-edge lockplates, border and acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in an arched banner, brushed bright finish overall, 14 1/8in. figured likely replacement stock including steel buttplate, Hackett-type snap-on fore-end, weight 6lb. 6oz.
