* A FRENCH MODEL 1854 NAVAL OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD,
circa mid 20th century, with 27 3/4 in. single-edged nickelled blade, both sides with a narrow continuous fuller close to the blade back and a wider fuller in the centre of the blade, the spine engraved with the manufacturer's name 'Coulaux' and location 'Klingenthal', the ricasso with two poincon, a 'G' and a 'B' with a five-pointed star above (dating the blade between 1925 - 1962), brass hilt with dolphin-head quillion, pierced guard decorated with leaves, a fouled anchor and twisted rope, back-strap decorated with shell design, wire-bound black bakelite grip, together with its black leather scabbard with brass fittings, the locket with a fouled anchor on each side and stud in the shape of a shell, two suspension loops and drag with a shell on each side
