A .32 (RIMFIRE) LUCIUS POND FRONT-LOADING REVOLVER WITH SEPARATE CHAMBERS, batch no. 16,
circa 1866, with octagonal 4in. barrel, the top-flat with traces of manufacturer's address and patent details, shallow crescent fore-sight, bronze solid frame with sighting groove to top-strap, plain six-shot iron cylinder, each chamber with a detachable insert to allow for front loading, central hammer, spur trigger and smooth flared walnut grips
Provenance: The unusual design of this revolver was purely to circumvent the Rollin White patent for the bored through cylinder
