A CASED PAIR OF 30-BORE PERCUSSION HOLSTER PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1830, with browned damascus octagonal 8in. barrels signed in script on the top-flat 'MANCHESTER', bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, acanthus scroll engraved breech blocks, flat border and acanthus scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'J.W. EDGE', clipped tails, bolted safes behind the engraved hammers, walnut half-stocks with chequered bag-shaped grips and horn-tipped ramrods, in a period mahogany casing with brass reinforced corners (one lacking) and lined and compartmented in dark green velvet and together with a nipple key, loading rod, ball mould, three-way flask and sundry accessories
