A GERMAN MODEL 1898/05 MAUSER SWORD BAYONET, dated 1914, 14 1/2 in single-edged blade fullered on each side with the original saw-back ground off, blade back with inspection marks, 'W / 14', ricasso marked for Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co., of Solingen, cross-guard with large residual muzzle-ring 'ears', wooden grips, inspection marks to pommel, together with its black leather scabbard with steel fittings and brown leather frog, some light surface rusting to exposed metalwork and a hole to the scabbard leather to the front
