** A GERMAN THIRD REICH OFFICER'S DOVE'S HEAD SWORD BY ALCOSA, circa late 1930s, with 33 in. slightly curved, nickelled, single-edged blade fullered on each side, ricasso maker marked 'Alcosa / Solingen' [for Alexander Coppel GmbH] plus the company's scales trade-mark, gilt brass hilt, oak leaf decoration, front langet with eagle and swastika, black cellulose grip, together with its black painted steel scabbard with suspension ring, gilding mainly absent from hilt, grip plastic cracked with losses and wire binding absent, scabbard with rusting and paint heavily grazed
