A CASED .380 PRYSE PATENT REVOLVER SIGNED C. PRYSE & CO. LONDON, serial no. 2509, with period holster,
the revolver patent use no. '1831', circa 1880, with octagonal nickel-plated 4in. barrel, the left side of barrel throat marked 'TRADE MARK PRYSE'S PATENT', raised top-rib with crescent blade fore-sight and signed 'C. PRYSE & CO. LONDON', break-open frame with twin 'Pryse' locking bars to rear, plain automatic ejection six-shot cylinder with thumbwheel retainer, double-action mechanism and chequered walnut grip with lanyard ring at heel, much original plated finish remaining, in a period oak case (lid escutcheon loose but present), lined and compartmented in blue baize and with cartridge tray, turn-screw, cleaning rod and oil bottle and also including a period full-flap leather holster
