A RARE .177 BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, serial no. 725,
circa 1938, with blued 19 7/8in. rifled barrel, ramp fore-sight with dove-tailed blade, standing notch rear-sight with elevation screw, the side of breech block stamped with the serial number and '.177 BORE' together with 'OIL', large rotating cammed locking catch, plain air-chamber engraved 'W.W. GREENER, MAKER, BIRMINGHAM' (rubbed with shallow pitting under finish), plain walnut butt-stock with saw-backed pistol-grip (small inlet repair to front of grip, possibly from new) and blued iron heel-plate, blued iron trigger-guard with trigger adjustment screw and one-piece cocking link, the whole professionally refinished
