A RARE GERMAN NPEA LEADER'S DAGGER SIGNED KARL BURGSMULLER, BERLIN,
circa 1938, with 8 5/8in. double-edged blade with makers mark to reverse, the front of blade bearing the motto 'MEHR SEIN ALS SCHEINEN' (Be More Than You Appear To Be), brown wood hilt of 'Holbein' style with plated zinc fittings, near central eagle and swastika device and complete with its olive green painted metal scabbard with plated mounts of the 'square ramp' type, chains and partial belt clip marked 'D.R.G.M.', some wear and staining throughout
