LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, Perkes patent action, No. 1968 of 1878, Boss license use number 261, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, light patination overall, 14 1/4in. figured stock with steel heel and toe plates, gold oval escutcheon engraved with the Lovat crest, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 6lb. 14oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with provision for a second set of barrels
