dated 1901, with 20 1/2in. pipe-backed blade fullered on each side, ricasso with Prussian crown above 'ERFURT', back stamped with crown over 'W / 01', quillioned cross-guard marked '3. I. 1 34., one-piece 'wrap-around' wooden grip, steel pommel, together with its black leather scabbard with steel fittings, back of locket stamped '49. R. 11. 50.', some staining to blade, some light blinded pitting to the exposed metalwork, scabbard with painted over grazes and losses, folded above the chape
