second model circa 1855, with blued octagonal 6 1/8in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, engraved band at muzzle, standing notch rear-sight to the rear of the solid border-engraved top-strap, borderline and scroll engraved frame, plain five-shot cylinder with borderline engraving and a rope-twist band to leading edge, trigger-cocking action with spur-less hammer, inverted 'Y' shaped safe spring, detachable Tranter's patent rammer (cleaned of finish), exposed cocking trigger below the guard and chequered walnut one-piece semi saw-handled grip with flared pommel and moulded iron cap, strong traces of original finish remaining
