A CASED 120-BORE PERCUSSION ADAMS 1851 PATENT POCKET REVOLVER RETAILED BY REILLY, LONDON, serial no. 30191B,
circa 1853, with London proved 4 3/8in. blued octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'REILLY, NEW OXFORD STREET, LONDON', border and scroll engraved solid frame with 'J' shaped safe spring and double action only mechanism, plain five shot cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, finely chequered swept semi saw-handled walnut grip with shallow domed horn butt-cap, no provision for rammer, the whole retaining much original blued finish, in a period stained oak casing relined in green baize for this revolver and containing a powder flask, loading rod, ball mould, nipple key and oil bottle, all probably added, with case key
