A RARE TIN-CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION PAKTONG-FRAMED COOPER'S PATENT PEPPERBOX REVOLVER RETAILED BY O. HAROLD, DUNDALK,
circa 1835, with fully fluted and colour hardened 3in. six-shot barrel cluster (strong colour remaining), engraved muzzles, rear-facing nipples with iron recoil shield, fully scroll engraved paktong rounded frame with capping cut-out to right hand side and signed in a banner on the left 'J.R. COOPER's PATENT', the upper portion of back-strap signed 'O. HAROLD, DUNDALK', smooth walnut bag-shaped grips and ring trigger drawing back an under-hammer and with sliding safe behind, much finish and colour remaining, in its rare black japanned tin lined and compartmented in green felt and containing a diminutive Sykes powder-flask, a suede leather shot bag, a cap tin, scissors mould and wood loading rod as supplied together with a later oil bottle
