A SCARCE CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION TRANTER'S PATENT FIRST MODEL TRIGGER-COCKING REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, serial no. 2392T,
circa 1852, with octagonal 5in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, dove-tailed fore-sight, border engraved top-strap with notch rear-sight, borderline engraved plain five shot cylinder with milled band to leading edge and traces of faded colour, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame with inverted 'Y' shaped safe spring and stud for a detachable rammer (included), Tranter's patent 'double' trigger, spurless hammer and chequered walnut grip with moulded and engraved iron grip-cap, strong traces of original blued finish remaining, in its mahogany case lined and compartmented in green baize (split to lid) and including a full suite of accessories as supplied
