A CHILEAN MODEL 1890 CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD, 1890s, with 33 1/4 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, blade back engraved for Chatellerault Arsenal [these were made under contract by the French arms factory at Chatellerault] with inspection initials 'J.H', ricasso with Chilean shield inspection mark, hilt with steel multi-bar bowl guard stamped '2R / 8 / RA3 / 926', dark brown vulcanized rubber grip, black steel scabbard with single suspension ring, some staining to blade and a little light denting to the scabbard
