AN IMPERIAL GERMAN HEAVY CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD, circa 1850, with 35 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso marked 'S&K' (Schnitzler and Kirschbaum) with inspection mark over, steel hilt, copper wire-bound leather grip, steel scabbard with two suspension rings, blade stained with scrubbed blinded pitting, hilt and scabbard with heavily scrubbed deep blinded pitting
