circa 1885, 28in. nitro reproved damascus barrel (in 2026), bead fore-sight, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 3/4 choke, Spencer & Roper patent action, US patent no. 255,894 / UK patent no. 1636 of 1882, with pivoted breech block, damascus tubular magazine with exterior sliding handle which operates loading and ejecting cartridges and cocks the hammer, the triggerguard housing a secondary reversed trigger which also cocks the hammer, action engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 'SPENCER PATENT', retaining some original blued finish, 13 1/2in. semi-pistolgrip stock including buttplate, weight 7lb. 10oz.
