Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that several generations of his family have played a pivotal role in the development and history of the Husqvarna group, his Great Grandfather being head of the Husqvarna Weapons factory in the 1860's and subsequent generations holding board member and Chairman positions right through until the company was acquired by Electrolux.
This particular gun was given to him by his father in 1978 to replace his existing Ehrenpreuss model shotgun which had been stolen from his house in London in January 1978
Other Notes: The Ehrenpreuss is regarded as the finest luxury model ever produced by Husqvarna, replacing its predecessor the 'Modell Lyx Special' as top of the range in the final three years of the company being an independent gunmaker. When the company was bought in 1977 by Electrolux, the gunmaking arm of the company was sold to FFV-Carl Gustaf.
Just 75 examples of this model were built
