A PATTERN 1856/58 EXPORT YATAGHAN SWORD BAYONET BY ALEX COPPEL, circa late 1860s, with 23 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, ricasso with sold-out-of-service mark over Broad Arrow and Birmingham repair inspection mark, with the scales mark of Alex Coppel (rubbed) over, cross-guard stamped '01427', pressed black leather grips, black leather scabbard with steel fittings, worn, a little light pitting to the blade, heavier pitting to the exposed metalwork, scabbard folded and repaired
