London proved barrel (some light frosting), dove-tailed white-metal fore-sight and shallow standing notch rear-sight, the top-flat signed 'SMITH, BRAINTREE', barrel retained by a screwed cylinder arbor, plain reciprocating six-shot cylinder, separate lower frame strap (replaced) slightly angled nipples, scroll engraved nipple-guard, radiused border and scroll engraved boxlock action with offset single-action spurred dolphin hammer (traces of colour), finely chequered walnut bag-shaped grip, the back of wrist with a vacant oval escutcheon, moulded heel-cap with central trap, guarded trigger, the whole retaining traces of finish
