A .750 PERCUSSION EAST INDIA COMPANY TYPE 'C' PATTERN 1842 MUSKET, rack no. D72,
mid nineteenth century, with darkly stained round 39in. barrel, block fore-sight, fixed standing notch rear-sight, London proofs, knock-off breech with solid top-tang and rounded tip, flat semi-bevelled edge lock of flint form marked with the East India Co. rampant lion trademark and stamped with 'D5' below the nipple bolster, walnut full-stock stamped with 'D72' on the right side of butt and 'H104' (rubbed) on the right, along with various amateur applied farsi markings, brass furniture, the trigger guard bow with further farsi marks, three ramrod pipes and iron ramrod with squared shank behind the bun tip, fitted with a later buff leather sling
