circa 1845, with London proved 31 1/4in. round profile barrel bearing a 'JSK' maker's mark, the top engraved with a needle and signed 'JOS'H SKEET, LATE FOREMAN TO JOS'H EGG No.? LONDON', the number and location obscured, possibly 'Piccadilly', squared breech with scroll engraved top, decorated brass vented plug, border and scroll engraved lock signed 'JOS'H SKEET' on the bar and with a scene of a hunting dog, chequered walnut half-stock with semi pistol-grip, iron furniture and brass-tipped ebony ramrod below barrel
