A .44 PERCUSSION 6-SHOT TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, circa 1840s, with 5 3/4 in. sighted barrel with Birmingham proof-marks, plain cylinder with Birmingham proof-marks, bar hammer with scroll engraving, scroll engraved frame, trigger-guard and butt-cap, chequered wooden grips, all metalwork with heavy scrubbed blinded pitting
