mid-19th Century, copper and brass, 1) heavily embossed body, two compartments with swivel covers in the base, bevelled spring, some light denting, 5in.; 2) body slightly narrowing to the base, stamped 'SYKES' in small vertical lettering facing downwards a little above the base, screw-thread cap over the base aperture and a plain swivel cover on the top aperture 4 1/2in.; full working order with a little shallow denting
