ENGLAND.' in gothic script, the knoxform engraved 'SIGHTED FOR RIGBY'S SPECIAL HIGH VELOCITY .275 BORE CARTRIDGE SOFT NOSED 140gr BULLET.', raised standing notch open rear sight with two folding leaf sights and marked for 100, 300 and 400 yds (with spare marked for 150 and 250 yards), ramped bead fore-sight with tunnel protector, plain receiver drilled to top for sight mounts, the left side marked 'MAUSER M98 STANDARD -MADE IN GERMANY-.', turned-down spoon handled bolt, manual three-position safety (with spare shroud, cocking piece and flag safety assembly), hinged floorplate engraved with the Rigby trademark and 'RIGBY.
