* A GOOD CASED .455 P. WEBLEY & SON W.G ARMY REVOLVER, serial no. 14871,
for 1900, with blued octagonal-form 6in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed 'P. WEBLEY & SON, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM', nickel blade fore-sight, break open frame with stirrup latch closure, quick-release fluted, auto-ejecting six-shot cylinder, brushed bright hammer and trigger, double action mechanism, chequered walnut grips flared at the heel and with lanyard ring, guarded trigger, the whole retaining much original finish throughout and in its oak case, the interior lined in dark blue baize and compartmented for the revolver and including a brass cleaning rod, glass oil bottle and tray for ammunition storage


Provenance: The Webley records indicate that this revolver was completed and shipped to warehouse on the 10th April 1900. We are grateful to www.armsresearch.co.uk for this information
