AN 18-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN,
drum and nipple conversion from flintlock, 30 3/4in. sighted twist barrels signed 'Gedrehter Lauf von Sensen Stahl' and with two gold lines and applied scrollwork at the breeches, the bevelled locks signed 'Gered. on Dubreul Frere Fabricant' to the right, and 'a St. Etienne' on the left, each engraved with an ostrich at the tail set amongst trees and foliage, the trigger-guard engraved with a vignette of an ostrich together with a hunting dog, figured half-stock with wooden extension, chequered grip and fore-end and carved boar's head to belly, iron mounts, ramrod and one loop missing, (some oxidisation overall and historic repairs to stock).
