with 5 7/8in. octagonal sighted barrel engraved with scrollwork at the breech-end and with a decorative band at the muzzle, border and scroll engraved top-strap signed 'JOHN HAYTON GRAHAM'S TOWN', border engraved cylinder, border and scroll engraved frame marked 'W. TRANTER'S PATENT' (self-cocking mechanism slightly at fault, arbor-pin replaced), swinging cylinder lock, chequered walnut butt, border and scroll engraved butt-cap and trigger-guard, traces of original blued finish throughout (some discolouration, cylinder with some bruising, rammer replaced), Birmingham proof marks.
