30in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrels, ribs engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 178 NEW BOND ST. LONDON', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke (No.1) and imp. cyl. and full choke (No.2), automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, treble-grip actions incorporating J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use numbers 453 and 457, Westley Richards patent toplevers, Westley Richards 'ONE TRIGGER' patent selective single triggers, triggerplates initialled 'G.F.' and mounted with selector switches and gold-inlaid 'L' & 'R' details, detachable floorplates, gold-washed internals, fences deeply carved with acanthus scrollwork, best bold scroll engraving on a matt background overall, the toplevers engraved with vignettes of pheasant and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', No.1 engraved with fleeing rabbit on the floorplate and a terrier on the triggerguard, No.2 engraved with gundogs on the floorplate and a hare on the triggerguard, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 13 5/8in. highly-figured stocks including 7/8in. horn extensions, fore-ends with engraved Deeley & Edge patent release levers, weight 6lb. 9oz., in their brass-cornered leather bound oak case with some accessories
