A 10-BORE CONTINENTAL SINGLE-SHOT WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING GUN
probably German 'Romantic Revival', circa 1860, with 26in swamped, two-stage carved barrel, crudely bordered and relief carved lock with, external style ignition wheel, poor quality beech 'fan-tail' full-stock carved with a 'female' symbol surrounding the letter 'S' on the right-hand side of comb, sheet iron heel-plate etched with martial trophies, long, spurred iron trigger guard, straight trigger, sheet iron etched barrel bands and iron mounted wood ramrod (iron surfaces discoloured throughout)
