W.1.', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, removable striker discs, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Boss patent single-triggers, rolled-edged triggerguards, best bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. well-figured stocks, weight 6lb. 10oz., in their lightweight leather motor case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were ordered by the Vendor on the 8th February 1972 with 27in. barrels and 15in. stocks.
The proof marks differ slightly on the guns, Gun No. 1 being proofed in 1972 and Gun No. 2 in 1973.
The Vendor has kindly confirmed that due to his eagerness to take delivery of his new guns, he had gun No.1 finished first and collected it immediately, collecting gun No. 2 when it was completed six months later.
