28in. fine damascus black-powder only barrels with Henry patent rifling, partially matted raised rib engraved 'ALEXr. HENRY. EDINBURGH AND LONDON. MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESS' THE PRINCE OF WALES AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH', open sights and folding leaf sight, ramped bead fore-sight, early Anson & Deeley patent treble-grip action with removable striker discs, Westley Richards type toplever, automatic safety with blue enamelled 'SAFE' detail, intercepting sears, fine beaded and crosshatch border engraving with fine acanthus scrollwork, the makers name in a central scrolling banner, retaining some original colour-hardening and renewed blued finish, 14 3/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock (cracked at head) with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling eyes and engraved steel heel and toe plates, escutcheon inscribed 'PRESENTED TO THE MASTER OF BURLEIGH. KENNET. SEPT. 1902', fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 7lb. 15oz.
