27 1/2in. nitro barrels with 6mm ventilated matt top-rib, the shoulders carved in relief with hastate motifs set on a stippled matt background, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, hold-open toplever engraved with the Swiss cross, manual safety with integral barrel selector switch, the action fence carved in relief with gold-highlighted folicaceous, fleurette and balaniferous bouquets, with similar assemblages carved in relief disseminated throughout, the action and furniture also carved with the crests and flags of the 26 Cantons of Switzerland, the decorative sideplates with finely carved stippled borderwork surrounding traditional Swiss scenes, with a member of the Swiss guard set against a mountainous backdrop on the left, the right depicting the legend of William Tell with the barbigerous character striding through an Alpine panorama, his son alongside, the underside carved with the Swiss cross and gold-inlaid 'CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA 1291 - 1991', silver finish, 14 1/2in. figured roachbelly stock, 7lb. 4oz., in its makers black leather case with some accessories and paperwork
