A .577-450 (M/H) SINGLE SHOT BREECH-LOADING SERVICE RIFLE, MODEL 'SPECIALLY FOR ZAR', serial no. 15254,
dated for 1897, with 33 1/4in. sighted barrel marked 'HENRY RIFLING' and 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO.', action marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO.' on the left side and 'SPECIALLY MADE FOR ZAR' on the right side, walnut straight-hand butt-stock, the right side amateurishly carved with 'JJ KRUGER', walnut three-quarter fore-end, iron mounts, iron sling swivels and original iron cleaning rod, light surface corrosion throughout.
