A GOOD CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'BEAUMONT-ADAMS', serial no. 30088,
circa 1855, with blued octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'MAYNARD, HARRIS & GRICE, 126 LEADENHALL ST'T LONDON', plain cylinder with good traces of colour-hardening, solid border-line engraved frame with sliding side safety on the right hand side, spurred hammer, chequered walnut saw-grip butt, colour-hardened butt-cap, blued trigger-guard bow and articulated attached rammer on the left hand side of barrel, the whole being an old refinish within the working life of the revolver, TOGETHER WITH an unlabelled original oak pistol-case, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing some original accessories including three cleaning rods, a scissors double cavity bullet-mould, a bone nipple-pot, an oil bottle and a nipple key
