25in. nitro chopperlump barrels, matt sight rib with bold acanthus scrollwork at the breech end, open sights and folding leaf sight marked for 50, 200 and 350 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with fold-over protector / moonsight, sunken rib engraved '.240 "MAGNUM" FLANGED CARTRIDGE', the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', treble-grip action with hidden third bite, side bolsters, bolted automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, toplever engraved 'ROYAL EJECTOR' and with peacock feather engraved thumbpiece, tang mounted with a folding adjustable peepsight, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguard, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with a cartouche engraved 'ROYAL EJECTOR', retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved and colour-hardened pistolgrip-cap (with trap), including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, setting crack to rear of left lockplate, weight 8lb., in its lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed in 1925 with 25in. barrels for 'Cooper'
