A 50-BORE (11.5mm x 50R) BREECH-LOADING SINGLE-SHOT SERVICE-RIFLE, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'ALBINI-BRAENDLIN', serial no. 1508,
dated for 1868, with 34 3/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight with auxilliary volley-sight, front hinged trap-door action with rear-mounted central hammer, plain walnut full-stock with iron furniture, two barrel-bands, iron nose-cap with throat for iron clearing rod (missing), and bayonet lug to underside of muzzle, (some surface corrosion throughout)
