circa 1852, with blued round 32in. barrel rifled in 5 grooves and signed 'WILKINSON LONDON', no visible inspectors marks, dovetailed beaded blade fore-sight, block-mounted folding ladder rear-sight, plain colour-hardened top-tang, borderline engraved colour-hardened bar-action military-style lock signed 'WILKINSON', walnut full-stock, colour-hardened iron heel-plate and trigger-guard, three barrel keys, no barrel bands, iron nose-cap, extra-long tapering round bayonet-bar for a Wilkinson sword-bayonet (not supplied), brass mounted iron ramrod and fitted with a period black-leather sling on iron swivels, the whole retaining virtually all its original colour and finish
