circa 1805, with re-browned octagonal 10in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'LONDON', brass dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, twin platinum lines at breech, engraved top-tang with central sighting-groove, platinum lined touch-hole, flat, slightly curved border-engraved lockplate signed 'H. MORTIMER', sliding safe behind the replacement hammer, rain-proof pan, roller-bearing frizzen-spring, walnut half-stock with saw-handled chequered full pistol-grip, flared pommel with inlet engraved iron cap, spurred iron trigger-guard bow, set trigger, clipped corner white-metal rectangular escutcheon to the left hand side, white-metal take-down wedge escutcheons and nose-cap, iron ramrod thimbles and replacement wood ramrod, some staining and pitting
