circa 1860, with 28 1/2in. etched damascus barrel (cleaned of finish), the top-rib signed in gold 'CHRISTOPH FUNK IN SUHL', brass bead fore-sight, scroll engraved top-tang with carved pin-guards, borderline and acanthus scroll engraved back-action locks featuring game-birds in flight, chequered walnut butt-stock enhanced with carved scrollwork behind the locks and around the heel-plate spur, brushed bright iron heel-plate with scroll engraved detail, raised cheek-piece, moulded horn trigger-guard, blued trigger-guard bow engraved with foliage, scroll engraved iron action body with swing under-lever with iron detachable fore-end en-suite.
