circa 1889, naval issue with 4in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, coin-release fluted cylinder with narrow locking notches, break-open frame with automatic ejection (loose on stirrup), the top-strap deeply marked with a large broad arrow, chequered hard rubber birds-head grips (one repaired, both chipped at front corner), the back-strap marked 'N' over '41', lanyard ring to heel, original faded finish retaining good 'two-tone' effect to frame
