E.C.', plain blued cylinder with rear ratchet locking, solid iron frame marked 'B.L. 709' and 'ADAMS PATENT' with the serial number, bottom hinged loading gate with locking catch, one piece chequered saw-handled walnut grip, iron butt-cap and ring for lanyard loop, strong traces of finish throughout
