ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and true cyl. choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, fully engraved with bold acanthus scrollwork, the underside engraved with an Imperial crown, bright finish, 14 1/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock (cracks at head), semi-beavertail fore-end, with extra straight hand stock and full beavertail fore-end, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a lightweight canvas and leather case, the spare stock and fore-end in a universal double case
Provenance: The Lot is sold with a signed declaration from the makers stating:
"We, Churchill, Atkin, Grant & Lang Ltd., hereby certify that the secondhand Churchill side-by-side double barrel shotgun, No. 8705 Imperial model, 12-bore sidelock ejector 25" (63.5cm) barrels, has been entirely overhauled in our workshops in ENGLAND."
