28in. replacement nitro barrels (by the makers in 1981), rib engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. ENGLAND.' and engraved with scrollwork toward the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. in both, scroll-back treble-grip action incorporating J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use No. 701, hinged floorplate, L.B. Taylor patent semi-selective single trigger, patent no. 26659 of 17th November 1909, triggerplate mounted selector switch with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, Westley Richards patent toplever engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT ONE TRIGGER' and gold-inlaid '2', acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a brace of pheasant, brushed bright and blued finish, 15in. figured stock including 2in. extension (cast on for a left-hander), weight 6lb. 14oz.
