circa 1865, with 20in. round iron barrel, blade fore-sight, adjustable rear-sight, brass receiver and frame, flip-open breech-block, central hammer, the side of the receiver marked 'GREENE RIFLE WORKS, WORCESTER MASS, PAT. FEB 1864', walnut straight hand butt-stock and splinter fore-end with one iron barrel-band
Other Notes: It is believed only 4001 models of this carbine were produced, with production split between James Warner, Springfield and Greene Rifle Works, Worcester
