circa 1850, with browned (faded) damascus 30in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'JOHN BLISSETT & SON, 322 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON', silver fore-sight bead, borderline engraved colour-hardened breech-block, raised fences with engraved platinum vented plugs, borderline engraved colour-hardened top-tang, colour-hardened borderline engraved bar-action locks signed 'J. BLISSETT & SON, LONDON' (much colour remaining), borderline engraved hammers, highly figured chequered walnut half-stock, the right hand side of butt inlet with a large silver vacant oval plaque for a presentation inscription, iron heel-plate (traces of colour hardening), colour-hardened borderline engraved trigger-guard bow and tang, ensuite ramrod throat and brass-tipped replacement wood ramrod
