AN EXTRAORDINARILY RARE GIGANTIC 4-BORE MOULD FOR A PRITCHETT PATENT RIFLE-BULLET,
circa 1855, of bronze, single cavity style and weighing approximately 7 1/2lbs., the slab sides signed 'R.T. PRITCHETT, 86 ST JAMES'S LONDON' and 'MANUFACTORY 59 CHAMBER ST LONDON' (numerous light and heavy bruises, some words partially obscured), iron base-plug fixed with a flush-fitting screw, off-centre pouring aperture, plain integral handles with bun ends and leather binding (distressed)
